An internationally renowned all rounder and social worker with a many pronged professional career spanning well over half a century
He spent nearly six decades in Insurance & Risk Management: Joined EFU 1951, completed Associateship of Chartered Insurance Institute (UK) ACII (with greatest merit) 1953. Opened first branch of New Jubilee Dhaka 1955 and Lahore 1956; Seconded to Muslim Ins 1962, made Administrator by Govt. of Pakistan 1964.
After nationalization of Life Insurance in 1972 he became State Life’s top salesman and Life Member of MDRT (Million Dollar Round Table). During 1970s became Director Pakistan Insurance Corporation, Adviser to Universal and Arbitrator/Umpire. Joined Credit & Commerce group in 1981 in London, then CEO CCI (Saudi) and CCI (UAE), and later Gulf Cooperation Ins and MCA in Saudi Arabia.
Mr. Khan earned two Master of Science degrees (in Management and in Financial Services) and CLU, CPCU, ChFC from USA and MCIArb, FCII from UK; Attended Pakistan Administrative Staff College and Advanced Management Program Harvard Business School at Swat.
Mr. Khan has also been Chairman Pak Insurance Institute and Lahore Regional Committee Insurance Association of Pakistan; Founder Dhaka and Khulna Insurance Institutes, Member Board of Studies in Commerce, Punjab University, Chairman Life Committee UAE Insurance Association, founder Jeddah Insurance Training Centre. Visiting Faculty PU Hailey College of Banking & Finance BBA (Hons) & MBA in Insurance & Risk Management. Charter Member International Insurance Society, Author Life Insurance Salesmanship. He is actively involved in health/social/cultural activities. He has been associated with International Lionism as the senior most (57 years) member of Lahore Gulberg Lion Club and managing as Chairman of its charity hospital at Lidhar, Badian Road, Lahore Cantt. He is a founding Director of International School of Choueifat, Lahore.
